An Introduction to Feng Shui
What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese wisdom that has been practiced for centuries. His Holiness Grandmaster Lin Yun defined Feng Shui as: “Mankind drawing upon the various fields of knowledge that are available to him at that time, for him to build, create or select the most optimal living and working environment for his survival. This knowledge is called Feng Shui."
Expanding on the above definition of Feng Shui, H.H. Khadro Crystal Chu Rinpoche, the designated successor of H.H. Lin Yun, explains further, “Feng Shui examines the close relationship between our well-being and our living and working environment. The knowledge of Feng Shui teaches us how to eliminate an environment’s harmful influences on an individual’s life, and to optimize one’s life by acquiring comfort and happiness from the environment.”

Importance of Feng Shui
Our life is inevitably affected by many different factors. Feng Shui is not the only factor, but is definitely one of the most important factors. Some people may not believe in Feng Shui, but the impact of its existence cannot be diminished. Feng Shui can influence various aspects of an individual’s life, including career, marriage, family, relationships, health, reputation and social status, education, finance, and many others. Correct Feng Shui adjustments not only help eliminate and avoid obstacles, difficulties, misfortunes, or illnesses, but also enable us to procure and promote harmony, good health, success and prosperity in life.
Black Sect Esoteric Buddhism Feng Shui
Feng Shui has existed since the beginning of mankind, before it was even known as Feng Shui. Throughout its long history, different schools and theories of Feng Shui have emerged as a result of varying geographical conditions. Amongst the many is the Black Sect Esoteric Buddhist School of Feng Shui, developed and transmitted by His Holiness the late Grandmaster Lin Yun. H.H.
